Consultant Orthotist
MSc BEng BSc MBAPO

Nick is an expert in the field of biomechanics, with a particular interest in gait analysis and the treatment of neuromuscular conditions affecting the lower limbs.

Currently, Nick serves as the head of service and Orthotic Clinical Lead at the prestigious Royal Berkshire Foundation Trust Hospital. He initiated his career in 2004 upon earning a degree in medical mechanical engineering from Dublin, where he honed his focus on the practical applications of biomechanics.

Nick’s approach to patient care has been heavily influenced by his background in biomechanics. He believes that our walking patterns can reveal potential problems with our feet, legs, hips, and back. By combining his expertise in biomechanics with a focus on foot-related issues, Nick has developed a comprehensive treatment strategy that has successfully benefited hundreds of patients.

Nick’s specialisation in foot and ankle health has provided him the opportunity to work with a broad array of sports teams, such as the GB rowing team, London Irish rugby, para-rowing teams, and various rugby squads. Additionally, Nick has served as a medical classifier for the GB Para Rowing team.
